EFR (Emergency First Response)

The primary care portion of the EFR course, prepares you to render aid to adults with a life threatening emergency, and covers all aspects of:
Scene Assessment
Communicable Disease Protection, including barrier use
Primary Assessment
Rescue Breathing
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, or CPR
Conscious and Unconscious Obstructed Airway Management
Serious Bleeding
Shock Management
Spinal Injury Management

Secondary Care

The secondary care section, focuses on developing your knowledge and skills, so that you can offer first aid when emergency services are delayed or unavailable, or when the individual is able to independently seek subsequent medical assistance.

The Course Covers

Injury Assessment
Illness Assessment
Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures.

In addition¬†with guidance from your instructor, and reference to the comprehensive student manual, you’ll study a wide range of injuries and illnesses. Also included will be¬†their respective signs and symptoms.
