So you want to learn to dive? PADI SKIN DIVER - for children and adult alike Are your kids crazy about snorkelling but haven’t been properly trained? Would they like to know more about the underwater environment? There’s a pool-based programme especially for 8 year-olds and above, called the PADI Skin Diver Course. The course is structured with academic learning and confined water training, and teaches students how to snorkel correctly; performing standards and practices set by PADI The course covers the following academic and water based topics:
At the same time as they learn the necessary Skin Diving skills, they will also take part in entertaining pool games to develop their snorkelling abilities, confidence and comfort. It’s a great way to introduce youngsters to the underwater world and retain their interest until they are confident enough to join the PADI Seals or take the Junior Open Water. It’s also a great way for kids to try a new experience over the summer holidays. Once they have completed the course, they receive an official PADI Certificate and PADI Certification Card. Qualifiers can use their certification card as proof of completing the course whilst snorkelling abroad, and it is internationally recognised as a reputable training course dedicated to snorkelling practice. But this course isn’t just for children – anyone over 8 years of age can take the programme, and it will give them the ability and confidence to enjoy snorkelling on holiday. As the programme is entirely pool and classroom based, we run it over two afternoons (12pm – 6pm) at weekends. The cost is £65.
