The Fastrack Instructor Development Course combines both the Assistant Instructor and OWSI portions of the IDC in a single package, saving you time and money. With all the facilities available here on site and locally, we can offer you  an intensive programme which allows you to complete your instructor training in one go. These programmes are scheduled to coincide with a PADI Instructor Examination so as to make the most of your time.

How do I get started?
With such an intensive programme it is vital that you have completed all of the pre-requisite self-study. Book early and receive our course learning agreement and study guidelines, which give you access to our Course Directors and centre staff, as well as full use of our facilities.

Course Overview
This programme covers all of the course content of the PADI Assistant Instructor and the OWSI courses.

Course Duration
The Assistant Instructor part of this programme must take a minimum of three days. The Open Water Scuba Instructor segment must take a minimum of four days, giving an overall total of a minimum of seven days for the whole programme. However, when you check the course dates, you’ll see that we schedule a 9-day programme, so as to allow for more relaxed logistics, additional academic and teaching skill development, and mock examinations.

The Instructor Examination is normally held over two days and our IDC programmes coincide with IE dates for Whittlesey, so your IE will be local.

Requirements
You must be a PADI Divemaster or equivalent to start your Assistant Instructor or full IDC programmes. Divers certified as PADI Assistant Instructors may progress straight onto the OWSI section of the IDC. Divers certified through other agencies should contact the centre as there may be additional requirements to your certification.

All other prerequisites apply as listed in the separate Assistant Instructor and OWSI programmes.
